We love the Botanic Garden and go a couple times a year! It is free and very family and dog friendly! They sculptures and other artwork from local artists throughout. They have a cute playground for kids and the Fairy Garden is a favorite for our children! Very beautiful place to visit and/or hold a private event like a wedding! They have at least 2 options that I know of that you can book for your event.

Great park very laid back atmosphere with friendly people. My 8 year old liked the play area, labyrinth, pond area and fairies garden. The Hammocks were cool and I looked at them longingly as I became a human tree while my kid scampered up to my shoulders. So I didn't get to try them out. We built a couple fairy homes in the garden to join the hundred or so other ones. Good stop if you are in the area.

This was a treat. We were driving through and decided to stop by and had a wonderful time. We only stayed about an hour. The walk around the pond was really nice. The kiddos absolutely loved the fairy garden. They had a blast trying to spot all of the fries. We visited early spring, so not many flowers and birds, but it was still lovely. Definitely plant to stop by again in late spring or early summer.

Beautiful, tranquil and endearing! It is a very new place (built in 2000), but it is simple, friendly and connecting to people. There are many trails to pick from. You could spend half a day or half an hour. The Fairies Garden is definitely more fun for the youngsters or those who are young at heart.

You can get lost here literally. Ended up in a field in front of the wooden event building but was like in a marsh. That was really fun. It’s very realistically nature. Lot of interesting spots every 100 yards are so. Biodiverse area. Lots of hikers, walkers and joggers. But still very quiet and peaceful. One minute you’re in the marsh then the woods then a wetland then a field. It’s imagination overload. A garden full of whimsy. This is the backdrops to great stories and fairytales.
